 Work History

Steve’s first introduction to construction started in his teenage years. He worked as a Carpenter’s Apprentice in the 1984 LA Olympics, constructing stages and props and also in a custom cabinet-making shop in Burbank. After graduating as a Carpenter’s Apprentice, Steve joined the Carpenters Union in 1986 and quickly earned the status of Journeyman Master Carpenter with Lee Bolin & Associates. As a Journeyman Master Carpenter, Steve helped construct parts of Toontown at Disneyland.

After relocating to Las Vegas in 1993, Steve transitioned into the development world where he worked as an Assistant Superintendent, was promoted to Site Superintendent, and ultimately made Project Manager over multi-family developments and commercial development sites for Falcon Homes and Templeton Development Corporation, such as the Carefree Senior Living homes.

Steve’s construction experience did not stop in the field, as he furthered his expertise as an Estimator and later Chief Estimator for commercial development projects and high-end luxury builds in Las Vegas and Los Angeles. Steve then ultimately served as the Vice President of construction at Quinn Developments, My Pacific Building, and Streamline Builders for multi-family & commercial development projects located in Southern California and Southern Nevada. During this time Steve oversaw complex development for companies like DirecTV/ATT and luxury multi-family constrictions like The Ventana Apartments and Reveal Playa Vista.

Steve is now the sole proprietor of Summers Consulting where he offers a select range of consulting services for your construction and development needs.
